My first of I hope MANY more posts on this incredible Photo Challenge site. The theme is "Pet Faces" which works so well in my world because our lifestyle is often joked at by friends and family as being the funny farm.
This photograph was taken at the North Park Fair of a darling young cowgirl and her 4H steer prior to entering the showring. I love the obvious loyalty and comraderie with her 4H steer you can see in this preshow "zin" moment.
This will remain one of my favorite shots for years to come because to 4h kids, their livestock projects truly are pets! I tear up so often as I witness the relationship bond between livestock/pets and their child companions at the county fair!
